  • An interaction between ginseng and phenelizine, a monoamine oxidase inhibitor indicated for depression, could occur, although the clinical significance of this interaction has not been evaluated.
  • Excessive quantities (e.g. 3-15 g) have been associated with hypertension, dizziness, nervousness, irritability, diarrhea, skin eruptions and insomnia.
